Help families plan ahead while keeping trusted advice around them

Generational provides the regulated professional trustee.

Where appropriate, families continue working with advisers and investment managers they already know and trust after assets are transferred to Generational as trustee.

01

Add professional trusteeship

Generational takes responsibility for administering the trust and making trustee decisions.

The adviser remains responsible for the advice they provide. An approved investment manager is responsible for the services it provides under its mandate.

Generational remains responsible for deciding whether to appoint and retain the manager, monitoring the arrangement and meeting its duties as trustee.

02

Preserve continuity where appropriate

A trust should not require a family to replace trusted professionals without good reason.

The same adviser or investment manager can remain involved, although account ownership, platform or custody arrangements may need to change.

03

Independent oversight

Generational must approve any investment manager and keep the appointment under review.

We may require changes if an arrangement no longer meets the trust’s needs or our duties as trustee.

Continued appointment is not automatic or guaranteed.
